Syrian Army and Palestinian Resistance Forces Advance in Southern Damascus
The Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) – in cooperation with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) – has made rapid progress in the Al-Tadamon District after breaking through Jabhat Al-Nusra’s defenses and taking control of a number of building blocks.
The PLA and their allies were able to take control of the main road leading to the Yarmouk Camp District, while securing the entire northern sector of the Al-Tadamon Distict.
As of 1 P.M. on Monday, the PLA controls at least 20 buildings in the southern sector of Al-Tadamon, with only a few blocks to go; its capture will pay dividends for the latter as its proximity to the Yarmouk Camp District makes this an imperative military endeavor.
According to a source near Al-Tadamon, the PLA has recently expanded their operations in southern Damascus; specifically, in the Yarmouk Camp and Al-Tadamon Districts.
