Syrian Army Approaching the Deir Ezzor Aquarium

A Syrian military source near the Deir Ezzor Military Airport has confirmed to Al-Masdar News that the Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Brigade of the Republican Guard is now approaching the Deir Ezzor Aquarium. The source was not able to provide more information; however, he has affirmed that the 104th Brigade has launched a counter-offensive in the Al-Jafra Quarter.

The Aquarium was captured by the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) during the advent of their offensive at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport; if captured, it will lift the siege on the base.
