Syrian Army destroys a vehicle full of ISIS militants in East Hama

Syrian Arab Army (SAA) obstructed a breakthrough attempt of the so-called “Islamic State” (IS, formerly ISIL/ISIS) in Ithriyah district, eastern Hama countryside.
On Wednesday afternoon, 2 vehicles with members of the designated terror group onboard tried to pass through SAA-controlled frontline near Ithriyah checkpoint while escaping from east Hama to Raqqa.
Syrian soldiers noticed the vehicles beforehand and opened fire at them, destroying one of the truck with a direct hit. All the passengers were killed as a result.
The second car managed to escape gunfire and successfully drove through the checkpoint fleeing eastwards.
Sources told Al-Masdar News that IS militants did not try to attack the checkpoint as their goal was to sneak in and flee only.
