Syrian Army, Kurdish Forces Ready to Enter Manbij, City Will Falls Soon
The Syrian army and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) inched closer to Manbij and they are now very close to entering the town in Northern Aleppo province.
Syrian army backed by its allies are preparing to launch a massive military operation against the ISIS terrorists who are currently controlling the strategic Anadan Plains, Northwest of Aleppo province, a military source said on Thursday.
On the other hand Kurdish Led Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) have closed all major roads leading to the northern Syrian town of Manbij, a stronghold of the Islamic State (ISIS / Daesh / ISIL and IS) group, and have surrounded it from three sides.
A statement by the Military Council of the City of Manbij, which is part of the Syrian Democratic Forces said on Thursday that all roads from the east, north and south have been cut.
Manbij is a key waypoint on ISIS group supply line between the Turkish border and the extremist group’s de facto capital, Raqqa.
