Syrian Army Preparing for Operations to Retake Strategic Positions in Idlib Province
The Syrian army is preparing for large-scale operations to regain control of the strategic strongholds in Idlib countryside.
Speaking to FNA, an informed military source said that the Eastern and Southwestern parts of Idlib are the scenes of heavy clashes where the Syrian army is trying to take back control of several positions from the Al-Nusra Front Takfiri terrorists.
Idlib province is of strategic importance because of its closeness to the Turkish border.
On Monday, the Syrian army destroyed the strongholds of ISIL terrorists in Idlib countryside, killing and injuring a large number of terrorists.
The army units destroyed the terrorists’ positions in Qumainas, Majdaliya and al-Nairab in Idlib countryside.
The Syrian army and Takfiri terrorist groups, specially the Al-Nusra Front, have been engaged in heavy clashes in Idlib since two days ago.
