Syrian Army Starts Fresh Round of Attacks against Terrorists in Idlib
The Syrian army started a fresh round of military operations in different parts of Idlib countryside in the Northwestern parts of the country on Sunday. The army units in charge of defending the city of Jasr al-Shaghour targeted the positions of the terrorists in Ashtabraq town in the Southwestern parts of Jasr al-Shaghour and destroyed their military hardware.
Meantime, the Syrian army attacked the strongholds of the terrorist groups in several villages in the surrounding areas of Abu al-Zohour military airport in the Idlib countryside.
“The army soldiers purged the villages near Abou al-Zohour military airport of terrorists after destroying their positions in there,” a Syrian military source told FNA on Sunday.
In Ariha in Southern Idlib, the army units conducted several attacks on the terrorists’ positions in an area located between Kafr Lata and Bazabour.
The Syrian army also hit the terrorists’ strongholds in Jabal al-Akrad, Bensh, Martin, Khan Sheikhoun, Saraqeb and the surrounding farms of Idlib.
The Northern Province of Idlib bordering Turkey has been the scene of insurgency since 2011 when a large number of international terrorists infiltrated into the province from Turkey.
The Syrian Army and government have defended their country against insurgents since 2011 when a huge number of foreign terrorists flocked to the Middle-Eastern country.
In spite of certain western states’ military and financial supports for militants, the Syrian troops have been able to push them back from many areas across the country, and based on military observers the fall of militancy in Syria is not far.
