Syrian army successfully recaptures the strategic areas surrounding a key northern city amidst one of the most intense series of air strikes

According to reports, the Syrian army has successfully cleared all terrorist elements from the outskirts surrounding the northern city of Hama.

According to reports from Syrian media outlets on Wednesday, the region has been cleared of terrorist elements.

Sources indicate that the army has successfully extended its control over the town of Tuba, located northeast of Hama, following intense clashes with Takfiri militants affiliated with the group known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

A Syrian source has confirmed that units of the Syrian Arab Army have successfully solidified their positions in the northeastern countryside of Hama. These advancements have extended over 15 kilometers (approximately nine miles) from the city, securing the territory gained.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network has reported that the city has once again come under the control of the Syrian army and is currently experiencing a period of “relative calm.”

On Wednesday, the Syrian air force, in coordination with its Russian allies, launched a significant series of airstrikes targeting camps and positions occupied by foreign-backed Takfiri militants. This marks the most intense assault since these groups began renewing their activities in Northern Syria.

In a coordinated counterattack, forces targeted armored vehicles used by militants attempting to flee towards the town of Morek, located in the northern region of Hama.

Syrian helicopters conducted targeted strikes on positions held by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants in the northern suburbs of Hama, according to reports.

Earlier this week, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) reportedly launched a major offensive, seizing control of several government-held territories in northern Syria and resulting in the deaths of numerous soldiers.

The Syrian military, in coordination with its Russian allies, initiated extensive counterterrorism operations. In response, terrorist groups and their Western allies launched a comprehensive media campaign intended to undermine the effectiveness of the Syrian forces’ efforts in combating terrorism.

Damascus has dismissed the campaign, labeling it as nothing more than a “media war.”
