Syrian Army Targets Terrorists’ Strongholds in Various Areas

Units of the Syrian army and armed forces on Sunday carried out military operations against Takfiri terrorist organizations’ hideouts and gathering in many areas across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

Damascus Countryside

Hasaka

Units of the army fired artillery against gatherings of ISIL terrorist organization in the villages of Mafraq al-Siddiq, Raharf farm and Tawq al-Milh, 20 km to the west of Hasaka city, according to SANA reporter.

Large numbers of ISIL terrorists were killed and injured in the artillery fire, while several vehicles with machine guns of various sizes mounted on them were destroyed, the source confirmed.

Daraa

Units of the army killed a number of terrorists of al-Nusra Front who attempted to attack Qita village coming from Enkhil town in the southern Daraa province, a military source told SANA.

The army also targeted and destroyed a vehicle carrying weapons and terrorists, killing all those on board, on a road northwest of Atman town in the northern countryside of the province.

Other army units continued intensive operations targeting posts of takfiri terrorist organizations in the eastern side of the province, killing and injuring a number of their members and destroying their arms and ammunition in al-Karak al-Sharqi town.

Homs

Units of the army and the armed forces destroyed a den of the so-called “al-Hajer Brigade” in al-Rastan city in the central Homs.

All the weapons and ammunition inside the den were destroyed and the terrorists were left killed, a military source told SANA.

The source added that many terrorists were killed and injured and a vehicle carrying terrorists, ammunition and arms was destroyed on Kisin-Burj Qa’ai road in the northern countryside of the province.

The army also foiled a terrorist attack on Um Jame’ village from the direction of Rajm al-Qasr village in the eastern countryside of Homs, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying one of their vehicles and various types of ammunition.

More terrorists were killed and wounded in the villages of Masada, Rajm al-Aali, Arshouna, Unq al-Hawa, al-Msheirfa al-Janoubiyeh, Salam Sharqi and to the southeast of Um Sahrij, according to the source.

Aleppo

The army carried out concentrated operations against takfiri terrorist organizations in al-Zirbeh town in Aleppo countryside, which resulted in destroying the terrorists’ vehicles and positions, according to a military source.

Many terrorists were killed during the operations.

A special military operation also targeted terrorists in Sheikh Lutfi village in the southeastern countryside of the province, killing a number of them and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

In the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, an army unit killed and injured a number of terrorists during operations against their gatherings in Kafer Hamra town.

Quneitra

Units of the army and the armed forces killed scores of the terrorists of al-Nusra and the so-called Fajir al-Islam Brigade and al-Furqan Brigades in a special operation against their gatherings in the villages of al-Hamidyia and al-Rawadi and to the west of al-Hurriya school in the western countryside of the southern Quneitra province.

A unit of the army and the armed forces also killed and injured a number of terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in the northern part of Taranja village in the northern countryside of the province.
