Syrian forces have launched their most intense aerial bombardments since the resurgence of terror activities in the region

The Syrian air force, in coordination with its Russian allies, has launched its most intense aerial assault to date targeting camps and strongholds of foreign-supported Takfiri militants, following their increased activity in northern Syria.

In a coordinated retaliatory operation, forces targeted armored vehicles utilized by the militants as they attempted to flee towards Morek, situated in the northern countryside of Hama city, sources from Syria revealed on Wednesday.

Syrian military helicopters targeted and attacked concentrations of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants in the northern suburbs of Hama, according to local sources.

A source from Syria has announced that units of the Syrian Arab Army have successfully secured all strategic positions they had recently advanced to in the northeastern countryside of Hama. These positions are over 15 kilometers (approximately nine miles) away from the city, according to the report.

The developments coincided with the ongoing deployment of military reinforcements to the northern, northeastern, and western sectors of the province’s countryside, the report stated.

A military source has confirmed that significant reinforcements have been deployed to Hama, aiming to bolster the forces stationed on the front lines to effectively counter any potential assaults initiated by armed terrorist organizations.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network reports that the Syrian army has reasserted control over the city, which is now experiencing a period of “relative calm.”

Intense Airstrikes Target Terrorist Positions Near Idlib

In a joint military operation, Syrian and Russian forces launched a series of intense airstrikes targeting terrorist concentrations in the village of Kafr Dariyan, located on the outskirts of Idlib. Additionally, reports emerged of fierce clashes taking place between Syrian government troops and terrorist factions near the city of Khanasir.

In northern Syria, Syrian air defenses successfully intercepted and downed up to 11 unmanned aerial vehicles operated by terrorist groups near the city of Latakia and various other sites, according to reports from the region.

The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces announced on Tuesday that Syrian military forces conducted targeted airstrikes in the northwestern region, resulting in the destruction of an operations center affiliated with the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group.

The announcement outlined that recent strikes have led to the destruction of three warehouses stocked with diverse munitions, in addition to numerous vehicles and armored units positioned along the battlefronts in the past 24 hours.

In a significant development, the Syrian military successfully regained control of a crucial highway near Hama on the previous day. The operation also resulted in the recapture of all surrounding towns and villages, and reportedly led to the deaths of numerous Takfiri militants.

Earlier this week, members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham reportedly launched a significant offensive, overtaking numerous government-held territories in northern Syria and resulting in the deaths of dozens of soldiers.

Subsequent reports indicated that the Syrian army successfully averted significant terrorist plots in Aleppo Province by launching a preemptive strike.

Following a successful counterterrorism operation by Syrian military forces, various terrorist groups and their Western collaborators have embarked on a comprehensive media offensive. This campaign aims to discredit the achievements of Syrian forces, including reports suggesting the withdrawal of Syrian troops from the rural areas of Hama.

The Syrian military has refuted recent reports, labeling them as part of a “media war” designed to cast a negative light on Damascus’ efforts in its fight against terrorism.
