Syrian military plans to retake northern Homs: official
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is planning to retake the northern countryside of the Homs Governorate, the Syrian Minister of Reconciliation ‘Ali Haider told the Reuters News Agency on Tuesday.
“The issue will not be a long time coming after the final resolution in Qalamoun,” Haidar said in reference to the northern Homs pocket.
In recent days, the Syrian military has dropped thousands of leaflets over this northern Homs pocket to warn the militants that an attack is coming.
“Armed groups wait to feel the seriousness and determination of the state’s military action before they approach serious discussion of a reconciliation agreement,” Haider added.
