Syrian, Palestinian forces on the verge of breaking through ISIL’s lines in Hajar Al-Aswad
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their Palestinian allies have made remarkable progress in the southern districts of Damascus, today, as their troops continue to advance through the Islamic State’s (ISIL) well-fortified front-lines.
Led by their 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard and 9th Division shock troops, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies managed to liberate several buildings inside the northwestern part of Hajar Al-Aswad on Monday, forcing the Islamic State to have to heavily reinforce their front-lines in order to avoid being overrun.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army is now on the verge of breaking through the Islamic State’s main line of defense in northwestern Hajar Al-Aswad.
If the Syrian Army is successful in breaking through the terrorist lines, ISIL will have a difficult time trying to defend the last parts of Hajar Al-Aswad they control.
The military source would add that the Syrian Army and their Palestinian allies are expected to make a large-scale advance in Hajar Al-Aswad in the coming hours, as ISIL’s defenses continue to crack. .
