Syrian Warplane Lands at Kuweires Airport for First Time since 2012

Media sources reported that a Syrian cargo plane took off from the airfield at Kuweires Airbase and returned safely to the military airport for the first time in the last five years.
Al-massdar reported that its journalist joined the Syrian pilots on their Eastern Aleppo trip which was featured live on Syrian state television as a symbolic victory on Saturday evening.
Kuweiris Airbase was completely besieged by terrorists from 2012 but the siege was lifted in October 2015 following large-scale operation of the Syrian pro-government forces which saved the lives of 314 army soldiers that had withstood a daily terrorist onslaught on the isolated airport.
