Syria’s Assad tells Mokhber he will travel Tehran
In a telephone call on Thursday, President Bashar al-Assad told Iran’s acting president Mohammad Mokhber that he will pay a visit to Tehran to express his condolences over president Raeisi’s martyrdom.
“I was very eager to be with the people of Iran these days and meet the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and express my condolences personally, so I will travel to Iran at the first opportunity to express my condolences and strengthen the political ties between the two countries,” Bashar al-Assad said.
Syrian people consider martyr Raeisi and Amir-Abdollahian, like General Qassem Soleimani, an anti-tyranny person, who raise up against global unilateralism, stand by the oppressed of the region and the world, Syrian president said.
“The respect to them is eternal in our country Syria,” Assad said, adding that why Syria announced public mourning in the country to sympathy in Iran’s great sorrow.
Iran’s acting president Mohammad Mokhber also emphasized, “As in the past, we stand by our commitment to fully support the axis of resistance, especially the independent country of Syria, and we will be waiting for your visit in Tehran.”
