Syria’s delegation arrives in Astana to participate in the 19th international meeting on Syria

Astana, SANA- Syria’s delegation headed by Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan arrived in the Kazakh capital of Astana to participate at the 19th international talks on Syria

The meeting talks are scheduled to be held on Nov 22nd and 23rd.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry stated that the delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Alexander Lavrentiev, the Russian President’s Special Envoy to Syria and the Iranian Foreign Minister’s Senior Assistant for Special Political Affairs Ali-Asghar Khaji and his accompanying delegation will participate in the meeting along with delegations from other countries.

In their final statement in the 18th round of Astana Format talks on Syria held on June 16th in Kazakhstan, the guarantor states affirmed determination to combat terrorism and to stand against separatist agendas. In addition to condemning terrorist assaults targeting civilian facilities in Syria claiming the lives of innocent souls.
