Tehran condemns savage acts of terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria
Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Hashemi Rafsanjani condemned Wednesday the savage acts of terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq under the name of Islam, affirming these acts have distorted the real image of Islam in the world.
Rafsanjani, at the concluding session of “the international conference of Islamic world scholars in defense of the Palestinian Resistance”, called for dismissing disputes and boosting unity in the face of dangers which pose threats to the Islamic world.
He also called on the Muslims to support resistance and liberate Palestine from the Zionist entity.
“Tehran has armed the Palestinian resistance and Hizbollah to defend the Palestinian people and defeat Israel though Iran has come under strong dangers,” Rafsanjani added.
Syria has participated in the two-day conference,
General Director of Ifta (act of issuing fatwa -legal opinion- in Islamic law) at the Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) warned that “the fires of terrorism” will spread widely “if we don’t work together to put out” them as terrorism is already sweeping Syria and Iraq.
Sheikh Alaa-Eddin al-Zaatari was speaking on behalf of Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badr- Eddin Hassoun in a speech addressing the Conference.
