Tehran issues a response to the civilian casualties in Syria
A spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the recent attacks on civilians in Syria, describing the violence as a violation of Alawite rights that has deeply affected public sentiment.

At a press briefing on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei voiced apprehension regarding the recent reports of violence and instability that have emerged from Syria.
He stated that Iran has officially communicated its concerns to influential nations through diplomatic channels.
He expressed an unequivocal denunciation of such actions, stating, “We categorically condemn these measures. Any killing or action directed at civilians is both condemnable and indefensible.”
According to the spokesman, the violations committed against a group of Alawites in Syria have deeply affected the conscience of many individuals.
Baqaei remarked that Syria’s new leadership is confronted with a significant challenge as they are tasked with ensuring the safety and protection of their citizens.
He cautioned that the adoption of such aggressive tactics could further exacerbate the already complex political landscape in Syria.
The Syrian interim government has dispatched additional forces to northwestern coastal cities, where security personnel are currently locked in intense combat with factions loyal to former President Bashar al-Assad.
Reports indicate that the violence has resulted in the deaths of hundreds, with a significant number of civilians among the casualties.
According to a report from Syria’s state news agency SANA, an unnamed security official disclosed that following the attacks, a significant number of individuals migrated to the coastal regions in pursuit of retribution for the offensive against government security forces.
