Terrorist ISIL’s desperate counter-offensive in southern Damascus ends in disaster
Terrorist ISIL launched a big counter-offensive in southern Damascus on Thursday, targeting the territory they recently lost to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Hajar Al-Aswad.
ISIL began the offensive on Thursday by storming the Syrian Arab Army’s front-lines from several axes inside Hajar Al-Aswad.
The terrorist group would then make some small gains in northern Hajar Al-Aswad before the Syrian Army and their Palestinian allies forestalled the Islamic State’s advance and launched their own attack.
According to a military source in southern Damascus, the Syrian Army and their Palestinian allies killed scores of Islamic State militants, while also seizing a large supply of their weapons.
The source added that the Syrian Army’s counter-offensive resulted in new gains for their troops and several setbacks for the Islamic State terrorists.
