Terrorists in Quneitra plea for ceasefire to negotiate surrender deal
A momentary ceasefire was reportedly declared in west Daraa countryside and Quneitra province to give way for a new round of talks between militants and the Syrian government.
The ceasefire was called for by rebel fighters who expressed willingness to negotiate a surrender deal following the example of several other areas across southwest Syria.
If successfully concluded, the terms of surrender agreement will most likely involve handing over heavy and medium weapons, settling their status and provide a safe exit elsewhere for those unwilling to stay.
The Syrian Army, backed by Russian air force, has launched a massive offensive aimed at retaking all rebel-held territories in Daraa and Quneitra provinces all the way to the Occupied Golan Heights.
