Three French Citizens Jailed for Planning Jihad in Syria
A court in France convicted three men for attempting to go and fight with extremist groups in Syria and of plotting terrorist acts.
The three men were picked up at a French airport in May 2012 with tickets to Gaziantep in Turkey with holsters, flak jackets and night-vision goggles in their baggage, RT reported.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
Tens of thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
