Tiger Forces Arrive in Hama to Combat Jabhat Al-Nusra
Col. Soheil Al-Hassan of the Syrian Arab Army’s elite special forces division known as the “Tiger Forces” have arrived in Hama. They are split in two groups, with a force outside of the village of Jbeileh in Aleppo and another force in Hama. Col. Al-Hassan is believed to have traveled with the soldiers into Hama, where they are set to combat Jabhat Al-Nusra militants.
The soldiers made an immediate impact by taking control of the strategic Bateesh Checkpoint, outside of the besieged city of Mhardeh. The Tiger Forces are now attacking the village of Khattab, located south of Mhardeh, with the intent to push north.
