Top Iranian Commander: Syrians’ awareness foils foreign military intervention schemes in the country

Commander of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari stressed on Saturday that the awareness of the Syrian people foiled all foreign military intervention schemes which seek to overthrow the Syrian state.
Fars News Agency quoted Jafari as saying that the enemy failed to achieve its goals in Syria, adding that it doesn’t and will not dare to target or attack the country.
Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani, in a speech at the conclusion of the International Islamic Unity Conference on Friday, said that the terrorism affecting Syria is created by the west and its pawns in the region.
