US and British fighter jets target Yemeni Defense Ministry amidst intensifying Gaza conflict

United States and British military aircraft have launched new airstrikes targeting Yemen's capital, Sana'a, and other areas, escalating efforts as Yemeni Armed Forces persist in their anti-Israeli activities in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, amidst widespread allegations of genocidal actions.

According to reports from Yemen’s al-Masirah television network, United States and British military aircraft conducted strikes on the Yemeni Defense Ministry’s facilities located in the Assafi’yah district of Sana’a in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to local reports, loud explosions were heard resonating from the area where the strikes occurred.

The report, however, did not disclose any specifics about possible casualties or damage.

The Yemeni Information Minister has strongly condemned the recent US and British airstrikes on Sana’a, describing the actions as an attempt to undermine Yemen’s resolve in its support for the Palestinian people.

Hashem Sharaf al-Din emphasized that Yemen’s military strength remains unshaken despite adversarial efforts. He asserted that both the government and the Yemeni people continue to stand resilient against relentless and violent assaults.

This development followed closely on the heels of an announcement from the Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson, who disclosed that the nation’s missile units had executed a military operation targeting an Israeli military installation in Tel Aviv. The operation reportedly involved the use of a hypersonic Palestine 2 ballistic missile.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the missile strike was conducted in solidarity with the Palestinian populace within the Gaza Strip and effectively met its intended goals.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared their intention to persist with military operations, targeting Israeli installations within the occupied territories. According to spokesperson Saree, these actions will persist until the cessation of aggression in Gaza and the complete lifting of the blockade.

In the early hours of Monday, American and British military aircraft executed a coordinated airstrike targeting installations in the Midi district of Yemen’s northern Hajjah province.

U.S. and British military aircraft conducted operations targeting several sites within the At Tuhayta district in the strategically significant western province of Hudaydah. Information regarding any possible human casualties or material damage resulting from the strikes has not been immediately released.

The Yemeni population has publicly expressed its unwavering support for Palestine’s resistance against Israeli occupation following the Israeli regime’s initiation of a devastating military assault on Gaza on October 7, 2023. This escalation came in response to Palestinian resistance groups launching Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the occupying forces.

The Yemeni armed forces have announced their intention to persist with their military actions in response to Israel’s ongoing ground and aerial operations in Gaza.

According to recent reports, Israeli actions in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 45,028 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, while injuring approximately 106,962 individuals.

In October, the United States military deployed B-2 stealth bombers to conduct airstrikes in Yemen, aligning with operations in support of Israel. Since the initial campaign, offensive measures against Yemen have persisted, aiming to curtail retaliatory actions originating from Sana’a.
