Syrian army claims great victory in Deir Al Zour
The strongholds of the militants were stormed by the army soldiers in the areas of al-Ghajar, al-Rastan, Jsir al-Kharab, al-Waer, Masa’dah, Unq al-Hawa, Um Sahrij, al-Sultaniyeh and Talbiseh in the countryside of Homs, SANA reported.
Meantime, the rebels suffered major losses as the Syrian Army scored major advances against the armed groups in Deir Ezzur’s various districts including in al-Mi’bar, Jsir al-Siyasehal and Howiaka.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
