Tensions have intensified in the West Bank, with Israeli forces persisting in their extensive military operations, especially around the Jenin region.

In a recent development, three Palestinian individuals sustained injuries as a result of Israeli gunfire during a raid in the village of Deir Ghazala, situated east of Jenin. According to reports from the Palestinian Red Crescent, two of those injured were struck with live ammunition, with wounds inflicted to the thigh and lower back.

Local reports indicate that Israeli special forces conducted an operation in the village, during which a young man was shot while inside a vehicle. The forces reportedly restricted access to medical assistance by preventing ambulances from reaching the scene. Additionally, military reinforcements were dispatched to the area, leading to the arrest of several individuals, including Sheikh Raed Tawalbeh, his wife, and son Jihad.

For 63 consecutive days, Israeli military operations in Jenin and its refugee camp have persisted, leading to widespread devastation. Residential buildings have been destroyed, with some repurposed as military installations. This ongoing conflict has resulted in the loss of 36 Palestinian lives, including two individuals killed by Palestinian Authority security forces.

The Jenin Municipality has reported that an Israeli court has dismissed a petition aimed at halting the demolition of 93 buildings, which house over 300 residential units, within the Jenin refugee camp. Furthermore, it has been noted that forces have compelled the displacement of nearly 1,000 Palestinians who resided near the camp.

According to reports, Israeli military operations have extended to the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps in the West Bank, resulting in the forced displacement of over 4,000 Palestinian families from these locations.

In the latest series of confrontations, Israeli forces conducted operations in the Aida camp, located to the north of Bethlehem, and the Balata refugee camp, positioned east of Nablus.

According to reports from Israeli media outlets, the government of Israel is evaluating potential measures aimed at guaranteeing unrestricted operational capabilities for its military forces within the West Bank region.

According to a report from the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, sources have indicated that the security establishment is evaluating potential measures to guarantee the army’s operational freedom within West Bank camps. The security services are actively engaged in efforts to reorganize the dynamics in the West Bank to preserve their freedom of action within these areas.

According to reports, the newspaper highlighted that the military has, to date, razed 200 homes within the Jenin camp as part of the ongoing operation in the area. Furthermore, the publication indicated that the military plans to obstruct efforts by Palestinians to reconstruct the destroyed homes and infrastructure within the camp. In addition, a security perimeter has been instituted by the military in the Jordan Valley, aiming to bolster control during both peacetime and emergencies.
