Yemen Issues Advisory: Fourth US Aircraft Carrier Now Within Range
A high-ranking Yemeni official has issued a stern warning to the United States, cautioning against any additional military actions targeting Yemen. The official asserted that Yemeni forces possess the capability to effectively neutralize American warships positioned in the vicinity of Yemeni territorial waters.
Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a prominent figure of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, delivered a speech in Sana’a, the Yemeni capital, on Tuesday.
In response to the United States military’s declaration of sending a fourth aircraft carrier to Yemen and amassing ammunition in preparation for potential strikes, he issued his remarks.
He advised taking heed of the experiences of the three carriers that have already vacated Yemeni waters. Their departures are well-documented, driven by the actions of Yemeni armed forces, which included drone strikes, missile attacks, and naval operations. These remarks pointed to the repeated assaults by Yemeni forces on American warships in the area.
Retaliatory strikes in response to British-American actions in Yemen have prompted the withdrawal of three U.S. aircraft carriers: the USS Abraham Lincoln, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, and the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
Earlier this week, the United States military disclosed plans to deploy the USS Harry S. Truman as a replacement for the preceding aircraft carriers.
In a bold declaration, the Houthi faction has issued a warning, stating that if the fourth aircraft carrier opts to stay near the US coastline to enhance security rather than departing, it will face vulnerabilities, becoming a strategic target for their military forces. The group further emphasized that the Yemeni populace remains undeterred by American military prowess.
A Yemeni official highlighted the extended operational capabilities of the national military, noting its proficiency in executing missions well beyond coastal limits.
“Our forces possess the capability to target any naval presence in the Red Sea from land-based positions, eliminating the need for direct access to the sea,” he stated.
He additionally issued a caution to Saudi Arabia, advising them to control the United States’ actions in Yemen, or face potential strikes on American interests throughout the Middle East.
A statement issued by the concerned party declared an unyielding stance, asserting that no boundaries exist for them. They emphasized that any American interest could become a target of attack when deemed necessary, cautioning against anticipating any form of clemency or remorse.
**Yemeni Official Declares Nation Unfazed by Israeli Presence**
Houthi representatives responded to recent assertions made by Israeli officials, who have boasted of their nation’s extensive military capabilities and suggested they could strike Yemen if necessary. The Houthi spokesperson dismissed these threats, confidently stating that Yemen remains out of Israel’s strategic reach.
A representative from the Jewish community, which includes individuals with roots in Yemen, highlighted that Yemenis possess distinct characteristics that set them apart from other Arab groups engaging in normalization efforts.
In a recent statement, he emphasized that Yemen holds no fear of the Israeli government, characterizing Israeli threats as “mere bluster” from those who underestimate Yemen’s resilience, courage, and strength.
A Yemeni official reaffirmed that military operations in Yemen remain without limitations.
“This strategy transcends psychological tactics; Yemen prioritizes decisive action over rhetoric, as underscored by national leadership. Our communications are substantiated by the proven strength and determination of the Yemeni Armed Forces.”
Throughout the past year, Yemen has carried out numerous operations targeting ships with Israeli affiliations in its surrounding waters and those near the occupied territories. Additionally, the nation has executed several attacks on United States warships and Western-associated vessels in the region. These actions are reportedly in response to airstrikes by Western forces on Yemen, which are conducted in support of Israel.
