Yemen shoots down American drone
The Yemeni air defense units shot down an American MQ9 drone in the western province of Al-Hudaydah Wednesday, Al-Mayadeen news network quoting a military source said. It did not provide further details.
The source also said the Yemeni military units and popular committees have targeted the UAE’s Patriot anti-missile system and concentration centers of forces loyal to deposed Yemeni president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi in the port city of Al-Mokha in Taiz province.
In March 2015, Saudi Arabia in cooperation with some other Arab states launched a military aggression against Yemen after blockading the country from air, sea and land in a bid to return to power the deposed president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
The aggression of the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen has had no military gains for the aggressors but has brought destruction, famine and displacement of people for the impoverished nation.
