Yemeni forces deploy combat drones to target a critical site in Ashkelon, ‘israel’

The Yemeni Armed Forces have executed a drone strike targeting a significant site in Ashkelon, an area within Israeli-controlled territories. This action is claimed to be in support of Palestinians residing in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese people, who are reportedly facing ongoing Israeli military actions.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Yemeni forces announced that they launched a drone attack targeting an industrial area in Ashkelon, approximately 50 kilometers south of Tel Aviv in southern Israel.

The announcement further detailed that the undertaking formed part of the fifth phase in the ongoing conflict against Israeli forces, and reported that it effectively accomplished its intended goals.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced their decision to persist with military operations in reaction to what they describe as the “Zionist enemy’s” actions in Gaza and Lebanon. According to their statement, these efforts will continue until hostilities cease, the blockade on Gaza is lifted, and the alleged aggression against Lebanon is halted.

The Israeli military reported that air raid sirens were activated in Ashkelon on Tuesday morning following the incursion of a drone into Israeli-controlled areas.

The strike follows an announcement by Yemen’s Armed Forces indicating that they had carried out attacks on three vessels that were reportedly breaching the country’s prohibition against approaching ports within Israeli-controlled areas.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, serving as the spokesperson for the forces, reported that the vessel “SC Montreal” located in the southern Arabian Sea was struck by two drones. Additionally, another ship, identified as “Maersk Kowloon,” was targeted in the Arabian Sea with a cruise missile. Furthermore, the vessel “Motaro” was subjected to multiple ballistic missile attacks in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb area.

On Sunday, the Yemeni Military Media unveiled a 20-minute video showcasing a series of tactical maneuvers conducted by the Yemeni Armed Forces, titled “To Make Your Faces Disgraced,” derived from a Quranic verse.

The exercises showcased an extensive simulation aimed at repelling significant ground, air, and naval attacks along the western coast of Yemen.

Since October 7 of the previous year, Yemeni forces have been engaged in multiple attacks targeting the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. These actions coincide with the onset of the Israeli military campaign in Gaza, which has resulted in over 43,000 Palestinian casualties thus far.

Military forces have additionally focused their efforts on Israeli ships and vessels entering or exiting ports within the occupied territories. This strategy aims to compel the Israeli government to cease ongoing hostilities and lift the concurrent blockade imposed on Gaza.

Conversely, the United States has been conducting military strikes in Yemen in an effort to halt ongoing operations in the region.
