Yemeni forces initiate new assaults on American and Israeli positions
In a statement released early Wednesday, Yemeni forces announced the initiation of new offensives targeting a U.S. aircraft carrier situated in the Red Sea, as well as unspecified "military targets" within the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

Yemen’s Armed Forces have been involved in prolonged confrontations with United States naval vessels in the Red Sea, while simultaneously conducting drone attacks targeting Israeli military sites in the vicinity of Tel Aviv. These operations are part of an ongoing response to U.S. military actions perceived as aggressive towards Yemen, as well as to what Yemeni officials describe as Israel’s genocidal conflict and blockade measures directed at Gaza.
On Wednesday, military forces released a statement announcing that their missile, drone, and naval units collaboratively carried out an operation against enemy vessels in the Red Sea. The targets reportedly included the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, which the forces accused of being involved in launching attacks against Yemen.
“The standoff continued for several hours as Yemeni forces actively engaged and maintained control over the situation in the operational area, according to reports.”
In a separate development, military forces executed drone strikes targeting Israeli military installations in the occupied city of Yaffa, located near Tel Aviv, deploying several armed unmanned aerial vehicles in the operation.
According to the statement, the recent strikes effectively met their intended goals. The operations were conducted in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, who are currently facing oppression.
In a continued stance against perceived American aggression, the forces have reaffirmed their dedication to resistance efforts concerning the Arab Peninsula country, citing its support for Palestinian operations. They underscored their resolve to counter any escalations with appropriate retaliatory measures.
Amid ongoing American military operations in Yemen, recently focusing on Sa’ada in the northwest of the country, forces have reaffirmed their commitment to blocking Israeli and Israeli-affiliated vessels from navigating critical maritime routes.
In October 2023, Yemeni forces initiated a ban in reaction to the Israeli regime’s military actions and intensified blockade on the Gaza Strip. Although they temporarily halted strikes following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Gaza’s Hamas faction, they resumed their offensive earlier this month. The renewed operations aim to compel Tel Aviv to cease its breaches of the agreement and the renewed conflict, as well as to pressure the regime into lifting its blockade.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, a call to action was directed at individuals across the Arab and Islamic world, urging them to mobilize against what has been described as acts of genocide occurring in the Gaza Strip.
On Tuesday, military forces announced they successfully launched a strike on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv using two ballistic missiles, the Zulfiqar and the hypersonic Palestine-2. This action was carried out as a demonstration of support for the people of Gaza.
Simultaneously, ballistic and cruise missiles, along with drones, were launched in an assault on the USS Harry S. Truman and its escorting vessels in the Red Sea. This marks the second such strike within a 24-hour period, carried out in retaliation against perceived American actions.
