Yemeni forces target Israeli industrial area

The Yemeni military has announced the execution of a fresh drone operation targeting the industrial zone within the Ashkelon area, described as being under Israeli control.

According to PressTV, Army Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree issued the announcement on Wednesday.

He stated that the operation was successfully accomplished, achieving its intended objective.

Saree reported that the Yemeni Air Force executed a two-phase operation, which involved targeting a critical Israeli site located in the occupied Yaffa region. Additionally, during the operation’s alternate phase, an attack was carried out on an industrial zone.

The Yemeni populace has publicly expressed solidarity with Palestine in its ongoing conflict against Israeli occupation following the commencement of an intense military campaign on Gaza by Israeli forces on October 7. This escalation followed a surprise counteroffensive, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, carried out by Palestinian resistance groups within the territory.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared their intention to persist in their military actions until the ongoing and intensive Israeli ground and air operations in Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of at least 27,948 people and injuries to an additional 67,459 individuals, are halted.

In December, the United States and the United Kingdom unveiled plans to form a military coalition aimed at targeting Yemen, with the objective of supporting Israel.
