Yemeni official: Regardless of any ceasefire agreements, the Islamic Ummah remains steadfast in its support for Palestine

A representative from Yemen's Supreme Political Council has asserted that Muslim countries and their allied resistance factions will unwaveringly support Palestine, regardless of the status of a ceasefire akin to that in Lebanon, as Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip continue to be characterized by many as genocide.

In an interview with Iran’s official news agency IRNA on Thursday, Yasser al-Houri commented on the recent implementation of a truce agreement between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement. This ceasefire comes after a prolonged conflict lasting over 14 months.

“He expressed optimism that a successful ceasefire in Lebanon could pave the way for a similar truce in the Gaza Strip. However, he affirmed that regardless of the outcome, the Islamic Ummah, under the leadership of the Axis of Resistance, remains steadfast in its support for Palestine.”

The Axis of Resistance has affirmed its commitment to sustaining support for Palestine, both militarily and through civilian avenues.

A Yemeni official emphasized that the Resistance Front is continuing with its strategy to counter adversaries, adapting its tactics in response to evolving political situations and battlefield dynamics.

He emphasized that the collapse of the Axis of Resistance across Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran, Syria, and Palestine remains an impossibility.

In early October 2023, Israel launched significant military operations on two fronts, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians and several resistance leaders in both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

In a significant development last month, Hezbollah confirmed that its Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in a targeted strike on southern Beirut, attributed to the regime.

Houri stated that both prior to and following Nasrallah’s martyrdom, resistance fighters consistently turned down all “enticing offers” to abandon the Palestinian cause. These fighters launched thousands of missiles into the heart of the occupied territories, highlighting the shortcomings of American and Israeli air defense systems.

In a recent statement, a Yemeni official hailed the ceasefire in Lebanon as a “significant triumph” for Hezbollah, highlighting the group’s achievements in the region.

According to the statement, Hezbollah has attributed its victory to its “unmatched resilience and steadfastness” in a confrontation where it faced the Zionist adversary and the United States, despite their deployment of advanced equipment.

The speaker stated that despite the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of resistance fighters and civilians due to Israel’s acts of terror and aggression, the Lebanese nation remains unbroken.
