Zionist airstrike on Gaza claims death of a family of 10

An Israeli airstrike targeting the southern Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of at least 10 members from a single family, with numerous others sustaining injuries, reports indicate.

According to reports on Tuesday, an Israeli strike on a residence in Bani Suhaila, located to the east of Khan Yunis, resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals from the Abu Tuaima family.

Reports indicate that the air raid occurred during the victims’ sleeping hours, resulting in casualties being transported to Nasser Hospital.

In the Gaza Strip, the number of fatalities resulting from Israeli airstrikes since the early hours of Tuesday has escalated to a minimum of 45 individuals.

At least 14 individuals in Gaza have lost their lives following two Israeli airstrikes targeting locations in the eastern region of Khan Younis and the Nuseirat refugee camp situated in central Gaza.

Three additional casualties were reported following an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential home near the Salah al-Din Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, located to the south of Gaza City.

In a series of Israeli strikes on the southern Gaza town of al-Faukhari, located near Khan Yunis, six additional Palestinians were reported dead.

On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip following a significant attack by the Hamas resistance group. This escalation came as a response to what Hamas described as retaliatory measures against ongoing actions by Israeli forces perceived as aggressive towards the Palestinian people.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 42,289 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and injuries to 98,680 others.

In a breach of international law, Israel has reportedly been targeting tents, schools, and hospitals that serve as shelters for displaced Palestinians.

UNICEF Denounces ‘Appalling Violence Against Children’ in Gaza

On Tuesday, UNICEF, the United Nations agency dedicated to children’s welfare, urgently appealed for the cessation of what it described as “shameful violence” inflicted by Israel on children in Gaza. The agency’s call comes amidst ongoing airstrikes by Israeli forces on shelters within the besieged enclave.

In a recent statement on platform X, UNICEF expressed grave concern highlighting the continuing reports of tragic incidents in Gaza, where children have been killed and families have been seen evacuating bombed shelters. The agency emphasized that these accounts should profoundly disturb global conscience.

The recent assaults on shelters serve as further evidence that Gaza offers “no safe haven for children,” the statement concluded.
