Zionist forces kill three Palestinians in occupied West Bank
Citing local sources, the Palestinian Information Centre (Palinfo) said the regime forces fired heavily at the vehicle near the village of Arraba south of Jenin on Sunday, preventing citizens and ambulances from approaching the scene.
Israeli forces fired more than 100 bullets at the vehicle and confiscated the Palestinian dead bodies and the car following the attack.
Israel claimed that the three Palestinians were “armed” and aimed to attack the regime’s forces.
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas condemned the killing, saying the deaths would not go unpunished.
“The Zionist enemy is committing a new crime by assassinating three of our Palestinian people in Jenin, in an escalation of its aggression and continued terror against our people,” said Hazem Qassem, the spokesperson of Hamas.
“The enemy, which assassinated three of our Palestinian people, will not escape paying the price of its crimes,” Qassem added.
The Hamas official stressed that the latest escalation by the Zionist regime calls for “serious work” to formulate a practical national plan to confront the occupation.
The latest development came two days after a Palestinian youth, identified as 19-year-old Qosai Jammal Mi’tan, was shot dead by occupation forces in a village near the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli troops carry out attacks against Palestinians across the occupied territories almost on a daily basis.
Over the past months, Israel has ramped up attacks on Palestinian towns and cities throughout the occupied territories. As a result of these attacks, dozens of Palestinians have lost their lives and many others have been arrested.
More than 200 Palestinians have been killed this year in the occupied Palestinian territories and the besieged Gaza Strip. The majority of these fatalities have been recorded in the West Bank.
