Zionist aircraft conducted a series of airstrikes targeting a border crossing between Syria and Lebanon, according to reports.
In a series of pre-dawn operations on Friday, Israeli fighter jets conducted multiple airstrikes targeting a border crossing between Syria and Lebanon.
According to a report from Al-Manar, at least two strikes targeted the Jusiya border crossing, which connects the Al-Qusayr District in Syria’s Homs governorate with Lebanon.
The Jusiyah border crossing holds strategic importance due to its location along the border that separates Syria from eastern Lebanon.
Israeli airstrikes have been launched as Takfiri militant groups experience a resurgence in Syria.
On Thursday, the Syrian Army reported the redeployment of its units to positions outside the central city of Hama, following intense clashes with militants belonging to Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS).
In a statement made on Thursday, Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed the Lebanese resistance group’s commitment to supporting the Syrian government amidst efforts by Takfiri terrorist factions to destabilize the nation.
In a televised address broadcast by Al-Manar, Sheikh Qassem expressed grave concerns over what he described as a “dangerous expansionist Israeli project,” urging support for resistance efforts against Israel. Additionally, he claimed that Takfiri groups are attempting to change Syria’s strategic alignment from resisting to cooperating with Israel.
