Zionist official: Administration is obstructing prisoner exchange
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, a zionist daily newspaper, an official from the Zionist regime has stated that Israel, rather than Hamas, is the obstacle to reaching a ceasefire and an agreement on the exchange of captives in the Gaza Strip.
According to a report by Yedioth Ahronoth, referencing an Israeli official, it is anticipated that a resolution to the Gaza conflict will ultimately be achieved. The report highlights that all parties engaged in the negotiations are cognizant of the fact that Hamas is unlikely to agree to any deal without assurances of an end to the hostilities or a definitive conclusion following the initial phase.
An Israeli official has stated that expanding options in negotiations is necessary.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced on Sunday during a meeting with the family of an Israeli captive in Gaza that negotiations are occurring “behind the scenes” to facilitate the return of Israelis currently held in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has consistently dismissed the potential of negotiating a captives exchange agreement with Hamas in recent months.
