Zionist regime conducs additional raids in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the abduction and injury of several Palestinians

The zionist Defense Forces conducted operations in multiple locations throughout the West Bank, resulting in the detention and injury of individuals within the occupied Palestinian regions.

According to a report by the WAFA news agency on Tuesday, Israeli forces conducted early morning operations in Nablus city and the adjacent Balata and al-Ain refugee camps, resulting in the detention of eight Palestinians.

According to the report, occupying forces conducted incursions into the cities of al-Bireh and Dura, in addition to the towns of Birzeit, Beit Rima, Deir Ghasana, Beitunia, and Idhna. During these operations, they reportedly searched and ransacked the homes of Palestinian residents.

According to WAFA, Israeli forces conducted a raid in the town of Beit Fajjar, during which troops opened fire on local residents, resulting in one Palestinian sustaining a gunshot wound to the foot.

On January 21, the Israeli military initiated an operation in the occupied West Bank, stating its objective was to target members of the Jenin Battalion, identified as resistance fighters.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has intensified its military operations in the West Bank, following the initiation of a large-scale offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Since the onset of hostilities, Israeli forces and settlers have conducted attacks throughout the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of at least 937 Palestinians and injuries to nearly 7,000 individuals, according to reports.

The recent raids have resulted in the displacement of at least 40,000 individuals, marking the most significant forced migration since the 1967 conflict that initiated the Israeli occupation of the region. This information comes from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

On Monday, the international humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), commonly referred to as Doctors Without Borders, issued a condemnation of the “extremely precarious” conditions faced by Palestinians displaced due to Israeli military operations in the West Bank.

A charity organization has reported that tens of thousands of individuals residing in the northern region of the West Bank are currently lacking adequate housing, critical services, and access to healthcare facilities.
