The Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Thursday the fatal shooting of a Palestinian elderly woman and a young man by Israeli forces in the Balata refugee camp, situated near Nablus City in the occupied West Bank.
Local reports indicate that intense clashes have erupted between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces at the Balata refugee camp. This confrontation occurs against the backdrop of an Israeli siege on the camp, with heavy gunfire reportedly targeting residents.
The Red Crescent reported that its ambulance teams administered first aid to six injured civilians, among them two elderly individuals, before transporting them to hospitals. The organization further alleged that Israeli soldiers obstructed the evacuation of certain casualties by ambulances and fired shots in their vicinity.
The Red Crescent later reported the deaths of 80-year-old Halima Abu Lail and a young man identified as Qusay Saruji.
