Zionist troops shot a Palestinian minor and detained two young men in the West Bank

Israeli forces have reportedly shot a Palestinian child and detained two young men in the occupied West Bank, against the backdrop of ongoing military actions in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Local media sources have reported that a Palestinian child sustained injuries from a sniper bullet in the village of al-Jalamah, located north of Jenin, on Saturday.

According to recent reports, authorities have detained two young males in the city of Tulkarem, located in the northwestern region of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has verified the reports, stating that its medical teams transported a child to a hospital following an incident in which the child sustained a leg injury inflicted by live ammunition fired by soldiers.

According to media reports, Israeli forces have reportedly detained Faisal Mahmoud Khalifa, aged 42, from the Iktaba suburb located northeast of Tulkarem, as well as Musab Qawzah, aged 34, from the Thanaba suburb east of the city.

Israeli military operations in the West Bank resulted in the deaths of two young Palestinian men, occurring during separate raids conducted three days ago.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA, referencing medical sources, has reported that Jihad Abu Salim, aged 27, was fatally shot in the chest by Israeli forces during their incursion into the Balata refugee camp located near the city of Nablus.

The Israeli Defense Forces fatally shot a young Palestinian man in Qalqilya, a city in the northern West Bank, following the discharge of live ammunition at his vehicle.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has confirmed the identity of the deceased as 25-year-old Muhammad Brahma.

This development emerges in the context of Israel’s 15-month military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in significant devastation for the besieged region.

Catherine Russell, the Executive Director of UNICEF, issued an urgent appeal on Saturday for immediate international intervention to end the ongoing hardships faced by children in Gaza. These young lives are enduring relentless violence and a multitude of challenges as a result of the devastating conflict.

Russell has cautioned that the risk of famine persists at an alarming level in northern Gaza, as access to humanitarian aid continues to be restricted.

Russell emphasized that the global community cannot stand idly by as a significant number of children endure daily hardships, including violence, hunger, disease, and harsh weather conditions.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli military actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 811 Palestinians and have left more than 6,450 others injured in the occupied West Bank since the onset of the conflict in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023.

Over 44,900 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have perished due to the conflict that ensued after resistance groups in Gaza launched a counteroffensive against the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. This action was in response to decades of lethal occupation and aggression from Israel.
